NarsIssist Eyeshadow & Cheek Palette |
NARS NarsIssist Eyeshadow palette ($79) was launched sometime back, roughly around the time of January'14. It contains 15 eyeshadows, some say they are the NARS all-time best selling eyeshadows with one Limited Edition shadow.
NarsIssist EYE Palette |
Since its launch there have been plenty reviews about this palette, mixed reviews are the worst because then one has to go with ones gut feeling, specially when the product is this expensive it makes the decision even more daunting. But if you are a makeup junkie like me then this would not be a tough decision to make. ;). Anywho coming back to the product itself, i love the fact that there is a full size mirror in the palette which makes it pretty easy to travel with. And with a wide variety of shades available to choose from it seems the perfect thing but until i swatched the eyeshadows. The other issue i have with this palette is the fact that it does not have any eyeshadow names on it, its not a deal breaker but its always good to know the shadow names for references.
All the eyeshadow's are great to work with if one is used to applying an eyeshadow primer first, because the shadows do run a bit powdery- chalky, specially the lighter shades. I always had a Hit-and-miss with Nars eyeshadows but I always blend the eyeshadows pretty well so i did not notice much of the chalky-ness. In all its a pretty workable palette but the most disappointing shadow in the palette was the black shadow- PANDORA, its described as a 'matte black' but it just did not adhere to the brush and was very powdery.
NarsIssist CHEEK Palette |
NARS NarsIssist Cheek Palette ($49) was launched alongside with the EYE palette and to be honest not much was said or reviewed about this palette as it contains 3 of NARS all time BEST-SELLING and very often found in palette's highlighter, blush and bronzer. It comes with a mini blush brush, i did not care much for the brush as it was a little scratchy & hard but i can see it would be useful for travel and small trips. The palette contains:-
Highlighter- DEVOTEE is best described as a frosted-creamy- pinkish highlighter. I like the fact thats its a buildable color and does not attract attention to my pores which is a good sign in a highlighter. Its got a very glowy and dewy finish to it.
Blush- No surprise here the Blush here is ORGASM which is a best-seller blush from NARS, its best described as a warm peachy-coraly-pink with golden shimmer in it.
Bronzer- No guesses here also as the bronzer in this palette is LAGUNA which is best described as a medium-tan brown bronzer with warm somewhat orangy-yellowish undertones with a shimmery sheen to it.
All in all i love this collection from NARS and would recommend it to anybody wanting to have all of NARS all time FAV eyeshadows and cheek products, but its not worth it if you already have the eyeshadow dous and the blushes in other palette's because this palette will not WOW you!
