FAVOURITE BLACK KAJAL'S- DRUGSTORE & HIGH END VERSIONS.

Today i thought lets do a post about BLACK LINERS as i seem to have a lot of those! I choose 4 out of my stash as these are the ones i seem to reach for everytime i do my makeup. I have categorized them into two categories:- drugstore & high end (high street). So lets get on with it.

MAYBELLINE 'the COLOSSAL KAJAL' : this one is an oldie and i still seem to love it when i want that precise line! I can't seem to find this online on maybelline's website or in dubai so i am fearing its discontinued (hope not!). I have had this for close to 6-8 months now and its nearing its end :(.

But coming back to the product- this liner is very black. It has a lovely and very good staying power without leaking either as an eyeliner or on the water-line. Retractable Pencil packaging and travel friendly. This one dries to a full matte finish. The 'smudge-proof' claim by maybelline is still debatable in my opinion. Also its a tad bit drying.

L'OREAL Paris 'KAJAL MAGIQUE' : this one i recently picked up on my trip to India. And surprisingly i LOVE it! It claims to be 'smudge-proof', water-proof and have a staying power of 12-hr's! After wearing it for a good amount of time i can safely say that it fills 2 of the above criteria without a glitch.

The quality of this retractable eyeliner is very good. The staying power more so. The smudge-proof claim in my opinion is somewhat true as this did leave a very noticeable stain as compared to the maybelline one. It dries to a matte black finish. Its definitely water-proof and wore well for the entire day without any issues.

URBAN DECAY '24/7 GLIDE-ON' PENCILS : This brand does everything regarding the eyes fantastically! Their eyeshadows are cult favourite in the beauty industry and the eye-liner pencils even more so. The one that i have is called 'ZERO'- ZEALOUS BLACK CREAM LINER.

This one is great for the water-line. But i personally feel its best to tight-line with this as its not a super jet black liner but because of the texture it makes tight-lining way more easier and painfree! The staying power is great and texture is really creamy. I wouldn't call this as an smudge-proof liner which is mainly because of its creamy texture. This in my opinion does not work well as an eyeliner because it slips a little bit during application. It dries to a pearl finish.

MAC KOHL 'SMOLDER' PENCIL : my favourite out of all the pencils because it serves all 3 purposes fantastically! I love it as an eyeliner....water-liner and its amazing to tight-line with too. The product is a lot so it will last for ages and also its the most BLACK out of all these liners.

MAC does cosmetics extremely well and it knows it. I also have a feeling MAC is the one brand every beauty lover owns if nothing else. Every girl who first starts fantasizing  about makeup definitely goes to MAC first as its one brand which does it all and really well might i add. The SMOLDER kohl pencil was my first ever buy from MAC and boy am i addicted to it! Over the years i have started using their FELINE eye pencil too but i always go back to Smolder. The texture is really creamy and its highly pigmented. It dries to a matte-pearl finish. Smolder is also one of MAC's Bestseller items.
