RIMMEL KATE MOSS Lasting finish and Matte finish lipsticks.

Last Spring RIMMEL LONDON came out with a MATTE lipstick range in collaboration with the super model Kate Moss, initially the Lasting Finish Lipsticks by Kate Moss (9 available colors) were launched which did very well and then come that spring a Matte collection was launched which is still going strong. The Lasting finish collection boast of 'high intensity color which last upto 8 hours & a formula infused with Black Diamonds for that ramp walk Shine.'  The Matte collection boast of 'Sumptuously rich matte color with sublime comfort. Enriched with Ruby powder. Intense velvety color all day'. The collection had some 10 colors.

This was a new find for me and since i love Matte lippies i thought i will give these a whirl. The colors that i have are-

Lasting Finish Matte #106 , #107 & #111 ($5.49) -  Matte lippies are my fav! Although these i would not say are the most 'matte' lipsticks which are out there, these are kind of 'Semi-Matte' as i could see light-reflecting off of them, which is good and totally not a deal-breaker as they can be blotted for a true matte finish. I have them in 3 bold colors -

•  #106 is a very pretty dark fuchsia pink with red/berry undertones. 
• #107 is the most blogged about color from this collections its a very deep wine/berry red .
• #111 is the perfect Scarlet Red. And oddly enough this is the only one which had a name 'Kiss of Life'!

Lasting Finish #26 ($5.49)- a very beige-y true nude. This one has a tendency to streak and i have to apply it in the retro but very effective way (apply-blot-apply-repeat) to get the true color, its very pigmented but to avoid the streaks this is the best way to apply it. The whole range has a very tropical-fruity scent to it, which is good and not over powering atall, i personally love it.

                                                                    PROS -
             Long Lasting Finish to the 'T'! They last a whole day of eating and drinking.
                                                           Highly Pigmented.
                                                          Reasonably priced.
                                             Not Drying atall, both the formulas.
                                            Great and very attractive packaging.

                                                                    CONS -

                                              The lighter color's could be streaky.
                                             We could do with a few more colors.
       Overall i love both the formulas and would recommend this to anybody wanting to try                                                  out High-shine and Matte lipsticks.
