Hello ladies, so today its all about the sculpted & strobed/highlighted face! Thanks to this gorgeous creation from +tarte cosmetics . I have been wearing & using this for months now and i can honestly say its one of the best contour/highlighting palettes out there. Tarte as a brand is doing very well for sometime now, so the fantastic performance of this product came as no surprise to me. Lets dig in.
Ok so the ONLY con for me in this palette is (because i just have one i would like to get it over with and mention it now itself!!) the PACKAGING! I am really & seriously not a fan of the felt/suede/velvet packaging when it comes to makeup, as it gathers finger prints like no one's business! So thats that, everything else, the product itself & its travel compatibility is amazing & I LIKE. The one thing which puzzled me about this palette was it smells DIVINE! like seriously very cocoa-ish. Not complaining for sure.
So one gets 6 shades, 4 of highlighters and 2 contouring/bronzing shades. The shades swatched above are the highlighters. All powders & all stunning. The highlighters are warm & cold in undertone, 2 warm & 2 cold to be precise. All powder, blend like a charm. This is excellent for those of us who have a hard time deciding, yes i know ideally we should just be given 2 of each in universal shades, but what i mean by my earlier statement is that- it gives people like us OPTIONS. Which for a undecided person like moi is very helpful as i
mix-n-match, all the time.
Three powders have a small amount of tiny glitter specks in them, not chunky atall, which is fine by me but some people might not be a fan of such formula. One of the highlighters is not as strong as the others, i am talking about LIT shade here, which makes it the most subtle shade out of the lot.
The Sculpt/Contour shades are good for people with Fair/Medium/Tan skintones, on darker skintones they might show up but in my opinion more as a blush. The cream is called Shade & the powder product is called Sculpt, they both can be used individually or together, layering is the key! The shades are perfect for me and i have actually used the cream product 'SHADE' much more than i would like to admit! Again blending these is a dream and they are super smooth.
At AED225 a pop it is a lil up there in price but still this palette would make a great travel companion.
