CHANEL PERFECTION LUMIERE VELVET FOUNDATION |
Yet another high-end Foundation launch and this one comes from Chanel. Recently launched Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet comes after VitaLumiere Aqua but in consistency i found them both to be equally liquidity *shake well before use. What drew me to it the most was the :- Packaging and the Oil-free claim.
Chanel claims :- 'Perfection has met its matte. Lightweight and oil-free, the
unique formula of this fluid foundation provides a long-lasting matte-velvet
finish. Soft-focus pigments smooth and perfect the skin for a flawless look
that lasts all day'.
After trying out this foundation for over 2 weeks i agree with most of the claims. This in comparison with the vitalumiere aqua is much preferred by me as i have an oily skin and the finish & longevity of this is peeerrffect.
When applying this foundation i prefer using my brush rather than my fingers (as advised by Chanel) just because i love the end result- evenly distributed application. The texture is very velvety and is easily blendable, which is very important in a foundation but this formula is so light-weight that its hard to see the first layer also. The good news is that its buildable.

Perfection Lumiere Velvet Swatch unblended & blended* one layer. |
The CHANEL shade range isn't great, it has around 9 shades in total. My Shade is 40 Beige which matches my skin perfectly. This foundation in my opinion is good for people like me who want a skin-like, light weight finish with natural coverage.
The finish is not cakey or powdery but a very natural satin-velvet. It gives a semi-dewy glowing finish. The staying power is also good not great but it does look fabulous after powder. The foundation comes in 30ml bottle.
