CURRENT FAV NARS PRODUCTS REVIEW+SWATCHES.

Hey Ladies..how are you all today? Today i will be reviewing some of my current favourite NARS products for you guys. I acquired these sometime back and lately i have been into the whole purple-gold shimmer game and loving it. So lets get on with the review.

So the products are something old and something new. The eyeshadow duo that i have been digging this feb is the NARS KAUAI DUO and the lipstick of choice is a new one from their AUDACIOUS lineup in ANNABELLA. These 2 paired together are so gorgeous its out of this world!!

NARS AUDACIOUS lipstick in ANNABELLA is such a beautiful Red shade. This definitely has a more orange undertone than other audacious reds. This red would be great for the spring summer season as this one brightens ones face like nobody's business! 

As you can see from the swatch the color is amazing and so richly pigmented. That was just one swipe fyi. The texture is creamy and soft and does not drag on the lips atall. The lipstick glides on and i do not find the need for a balm underneath it, even though i should but you know the times when you just want to feel the lipstick straight from the bullet on your lips. Well that's what Annabella does to me. 

Annabella is described as a bright 'poppy red' with a warm undertone and a slight sheen to it. On me it stayed on for a long time and also left the lips feeling comfortable. These lipsticks in general are a very comfortable wear. This did not dry on me atall. It does however leave a stain behind. I really did want a deeper red from the range but at the time only this was available and being restocked because its one of the bestsellers in this region! 

This color will suit all skintones in my opinion.Its the perfect bright red lip. 

I am very happy with this new lipstick range from NARS. I think its safe to say these are the best lipsticks from NARS in general including the lip pencils (velvet matte & sheer ). 

Coming to this gorgeous eyeshadow duo from last years collection NARS KAUAI, is this the most beautiful thing ever made or what!? Nars has such a eclectic approach to makeup in general it boggles me at times. This one called out to me the second i saw it, its such an interesting paring of two very diverse shades from the color wheel. This shadow suits all skintones as far as i have seen. 

The KAUAI duo is described as a 'Lame Gold with Smokey Orchid'. The colors in my opinion are very intricate, they do not seem just GOLD or PURPLE, they have micro shimmer in there to make it look more complex. The gold seems to have a higher note of silver/platinum in it and the purple seems to have multi-color shimmer in it to make it look more metallic & complex. 
This way the colors seem to reflect off different tones in different lighting.

KUDOS NARS!! 

 The texture is sooo beautiful and creamy. The shadows blend beautifully and are very pigmented, one does need to go slow when applying, they are best when applied in layers. When applied DRY i do feel the need for a primer, not that the shadows don't work without it but in my opinion to get any shadow to look its best a primer is required. 

And when applied WET the shadows are best worked with MAC FIX+. I just spritz some on brush, pick the shadows up and apply it to my lids, one does have to act fast as the fix+ dries very quickly. The shadows wear a long time in both forms, on me personally they lasted for good 7-8 hours without fading.

What's the best thing about NARS duo shadows, they can be applied WET or DRY and in both forms they are stunning. When applied dry they give a sheer wash of color across ones lids but when applied WET they are stunning metallic shades which are perfect to amp up any eyelook (day-night). 

The shadows have negligible fallout and are picked up easily.
