DRUGSTORE MAKEUP: ft SLEEK MAKEUP HOLIDAY PALETTES. REVIEW+SWATCHES.

This review has been in the making for quite sometime now, as you all would know by now i take my time in reviewing products especially drugstore products, for 2 reasons:
1- I don't use so much makeup on a daily basis.
2- I like to test the products out on the basis of various parameters.
This does take time but at the end of the day when i write the review i feel confident about it. So hope this review would be as honest and on point as others. I acquired these 2 palettes from +Sleek MakeUP 2-3 weeks back and since been playing with them. These are in the new fall collection and are called the EYE & CHEEK palette.

The first palette is called 'DANCING TIL DUSK/027'. These palettes consist of existing eyeshadows from various bestselling Sleek palettes and the blushes i believe are new with some oldies. This palette is more neutral of the two and will appeal to many of us as its a perfect everyday palette. I love the fact that both of these come with a workable sponge applicator, a mini blush brush and a full size mirror.

These have two sizeable blushes in 'Mirrored Pink' (NEW) and 'Sahara'. Sahara is a well loved blush from Sleek and rightly so, its a matte finish. Will suit almost any skintone. Its perfect for the SS season to get that sun-kissed look. The blushes are soft to touch and easy to pick up, blend well too. These are definitely long wearing (close to 8 hrs without fading on me). Mirrored Pink is a mid-tone satin finish peachy-pink and will look good in the SS too. This blush is perfect for the fresh face flushed look. Both the blushes are very pigmented, its best if they are built up slowly to have more control.

The eyeshadows in here are more or less only 2, in my opinion all four colors are mirroring each other, thats my one and only con in this palette, as there are 2 (satin & matte finish) golden beige shades & 2 (matte & satin) warm tone brown shades. This palette in my opinion is lacking versatility. But if one is looking for a travel friendly neutral palette this is worth it. The eyeshdaows in here are from the AU NATUREL I-DIVINE palette (one of their bestsellers).
Below are the swatches for this palette. The shadows do blend well but after using LORAC shadows for so long i am spoilt! I def love this palette for the pigmentation and blendibility, but the only thing missing is the softness of the shadows. Having said that i would definitely buy more sleek products as they are good value for money. All of them are swatched without a primer and dry.

The second palette in this range is called 'SEE YOU AT MIDNIGHT/028'. This is aimed more towards a smokey eye lover. The one thing which is evidently very appealing about this are the shades. This unlike the earlier one has 4 different shades of eyeshadows which compliment each other very well. The palette also comes with 2 blushes - ANTIQUE and POMEGRANATE. Again the sponge applicator, blush brush and a full size mirror are very handy.

This is my favourite out of the 2 because i like a lil drama on my eyelids, i love a good neutral eyelook but i tend to gravitate towards a smokey eye more! :D Anywho the blushes again are very pigmented, soft and some of the best i have used from a drugstore brand. Antique is a subtle cool tone taupe with purple undertone & matte finish blush. It does seem to have specks of silver glitter in it but that does not translate onto the cheeks. Having said that its also great for soft countering and definition.

The second blush is POMEGRANATE and its a beautiful golden pink satin finish blush with warm undertones. This blush by far is my fav out of the whole bunch, its glides on so well. This also is very long wearing and blends very well. Pigmented as hell and a lil goes a long way so tread carefully. Pomegranate is good for a pop of color on the cheeks with highlighting, great for fall. I love this one.

The eyeshdaows in here are taken from the ROMANCE I-DIVINE palette, great for a dramatic or a darker blurred-out eyelook. The shadows blend well but again it does take some work, for the money and the colors i think this is definitely worth it. The golden eyeshadow in this palette is very beautiful but best applied on a primer as that helps the shade to pop up more. The darker shades in here are also very beautiful and pigmented. There are 2 purples in this palette, one is more blue toned than the other.
All the shadows have a satin finish and look amazing. The dark brown-burgundy shade does seem to have specks of silver glitter in it but again that does not translate onto the lids. The shadows in both the palettes need building up but once they are there they look amazing.

This collection has a CREAM/POWDER HIGHLIGHTING palette also called 'PRECIOUS METALS'. I am not a big fan of cream highlighters so thats the only reason i did not go for it. It did seem interesting though. There are 3 cream highlights and 1 powder highlight. Retails for approx. the same price.

Hope this review was helpful for you guys and do let me know what you guys think of this new collection from SLEEK.
