Hello lovely people! So finally the STILA blush review is here...I picked these up on my last visit to INDIA, Sephora in India is really well stocked and has some amazing international brands. Anyways i was glued to the STILA counter for 2 days in a row and picked up a few products, the ones i'll be reviewing today are the BLUSHES (Custom & Convertible).
Lets get on with it.
I was so confused as to which colors to pick up, there were so many! In the end i went with GLADIOLA in the convertible color blush & SELF ADJUSTING PINK in the custom blush range. I have my eye on POPPY, LILLIUM & CAMELLIA as well. I am so glad i picked these up, because i am addicted! They are so versatile and beautiful.
The STILA Convertible color are available in 10 shades and is a Creme lip & cheek color. The cream blush is perfect for those on-the-go touch ups and to get that glowing look without doing much. This looks good on the lips and cheeks both and but i usually use them as cheek product for hygienic reasons and also because i rarely go for a 'stained' look on the lips. I think its a beautiful mid-tone orange which will work with almost all skintones.
I usually take some product on my hand and then use my stippling brush to pick it up and stipple it on. The look one gets is mind blowing and stays on well throughout the day. On lazy days i do not set it with powder but on days i want it to stick on till the end i do set it with a translucent powder, it does take away the glow but the color remains intact.
The CUSTOM BLUSH in pink is in a powder formulation but the powder is so finely milled that it almost feels like cream. The self adjusting bit of the blush is very true and this color does show up different on different people. I went with the PINK shade as i wanted a more 'flushed' result as oppose to a barely there shade. This is a very nice pink 'pop of color' and blends like a dream.
This pink blush works great to achieve that everyday flush and this one is also a long stay blush. I usually pick this one up with my blush brush from RT.
Both blushes are crazy pigmented and a lil goes a long way! They are best when you slowly build them up and work them in. The convertible blush looks great on the lips as well, very creamy and easy to apply. I would totally and highly recommend these to everybody looking for affordable, high pigmented blushes.
The packaging is great for travelling as they come in a compact and also feature a full size mirror. Its a snap-shut case with good quality hard plastic outer shell casing.
