ELLE BEAUTY: REVIEW & SWATCHES!*

Hello beautiful people! So today i am here with a review of one of the NEW beauty launches of last month, its by ELLE. Elle has had a beauty line for quite sometime now but to my knowledge its new to the MIDDLE EAST. The pieces are really elegantly packaged and look very classy. I got sent some pieces to review so lets get on with it.

This beauty-line is def on the higher side of the price-index. The products i have are 1 velvet matte eyeshadow, 1 jumbo crayon lipgloss, 1 mascara, 1 eyeliner & 1 metallic eyepencil. I have had these products for quite sometime and i have enjoyed using them, the products have a traditional cosmetic scent to them, so nothing out of the ordinary. The products in my opinion are average, but some products did stand out for me personally.

The VELVET MATTE EYESHADOW is beautiful, soft and blendable. Its got matte finish but its very soft to touch. Gets picked up really well with my sigma e25 brush and blends like a dream. This shade in particular is great for blending out eyeshadows in the crease and also as an all-over shadow on the lid. The shadow stayed for long and did not crease on me atall, even though i have oily lids. The packaging is pretty and 'looks expensive'. The single shadows have a full size mirrors in the pans, so great for travelling too. The shadow pans have 3gms of product on there for AED60.

The METTALIC EYE PENCIL i have it in amethyst, it has a very soft texture, creamy but not runny. The eyepencil is great for topping up or just wearing on its own. I did find the shade to be patchy, i do not know if its only this shade or the whole range. So def try it out at the counter and decide for yourself. This formula is great for full on lid colors aswell because the texture is so soft and blendable. It does not set quickly so a primer is a must. You get around 1.2gms in each pencil. These pencils are available in a lot of colors.

The JUMBO LIPGLOSS CRAYON is another product which i loved from this collection. The shade i have is 04/Cerise Sucrée and its a lovely plumy shade which is perfect for fall. These crayons are glossy lip products which will give you the comfort & pigmentation of a lipbalm. Its such a comfortable wear, i kind of feel its a lil pricey for the amount and the brand but its a good product nontheless. The lipgloss is good, one can def re-apply with ease. It stays put and is not sticky/leaky like a 'traditional lipgloss'. It also does not leave a stain, so one def has to re-apply after about 2 hours or so, in my case atleast. Has a sweet scent to it, which is not overpowering atall and fades away quickly. You get around 3gms for AED70.

The 3-in-1 MASCARA has a very nice formula, its dry so for lower lashes and upper lashes too its wonderful. The top of the wand has a twist function which lets you decide which type of wand you want- straight, curvy or twisty, so length & volume are both covered by this mascara. Which makes me like this even more. As i have mentioned before i love wet formulas but for this wand i adore the drier formula. This again has a very standard mascara scent, which is not very overpowering. It stayed for the whole day without flaking off. Which is wonderful news for us dubai-weather plagued humans. In this mascara you get 8ml for AED90.

The NAILLACQUER is very nice and actually stayed-on for a very long time, i wore it on its own and also with a base+top coat. Both the times the nailpaint faired really well. Did not chip or anything and stayed for almost 4 days without chipping. The nailpaint has a very narrow wand so people struggling with control might like this. I personally prefer a wider brush as more gets done in less time! :) The packaging is stunning and nothing less then any high-end beauty product. There is a wide-array of shades to choose from. You get around 8ml for AED45.
