NEW LOREAL TREATS FOR YOUR EYES & BROWS! REVIEW.

Hello lovelies! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, i know i did! So today i am writing a review of the 'not so new but still fresh' LOREAL LA PALETTE NUDE in 'BEIGE' and also the NEW BROW ARTIST PLUMPER. Got both of these in mid aug and since then i have used one of the products on a regular basis, as i love it that much and the other has been a staple too! So without further ado lets see the swatches and so on..

Lets talk about the elephant in the room here aka the LA PALETTE NUDE from loreal. I don't know if you guys know this but Loreal owns a lot of the luxury brands and YSL is one of them. Why i am talking about this here is because YSL Beauty also released their eyeshadow palettes around the same time the LOREAL LA PALETTES made an appearance, so the packaging and quality was up for comparison and debate, as many believed and said that they are very very similar. Having read a lot on both the palettes i went with the 'drugstore' brand and maybe later in the year i will get the YSL palette aswell just to compare. The price point of loreal is not 'drugstore' at, atleast not here in the UAE. Its almost at the same level as a URBAN DECAY palette, that too is owned by Loreal btw. ;)

So anyways coming onto the palette, it houses 10 shadows - 4 satin/metallic shades and 6 full matte shades. The palette is very small and chic, the packaging is really very similar to the YSL packaging and its very sturdy, travel friendly too. The shadows are decent in my opinion, not the most pigmented, but one can def get a good look outta this. The  loreal shadows are soft specially the matte shadows. They blend well and are picked up well too. The shadows are a mix of warm & cold tones, so one can really branch out. I am a person who loves to experiment with diff tones in the color spectrum and these allow me to do just that.

The palette comes with a double sided brush, one side has the standard sponge and the other a soft, almost good blending brush. The brush can def come in handy when travelling. The palette also houses a full size mirror so yay for that! This palette also comes in a ROSE version. Which is being compared with Urban Decay Naked3, as it has a rosy tone throughout and also some similar shades. These shadows do not seem to have a scent to them. They work excellently on a primer though.

The FIRST 5 shades are more neutral-beige/golds and are perfect for an all over lid-application or inner corner highlights. The shadows are pretty pigmented, one has to do a bit more work with these shadows, the mattes are wonderful though baring the first cream shade, it was really tough to work with. The variation in gold undertones is also something i really enjoyed, one gold is more bronzy and the other one is totally yellow based. The taupe shade is also very pretty. These shadows have a lil bit of a fallout aswell.

The LATTER 5 brown/bronzy shades is where my heart is! I just can not pass up a good bronzy-brown shade like everybody else. The browns are really pretty and are more pigmented than the lighter shades. The browns are mostly warm toned except one dark ash brown shade which is cool toned. The shades are really beautiful. The shades in this palette are nothing that a 'neutral palette collector' would need but for a 'drugstore' palette they are pretty stunning. Again if you can splurge you can def go for Lorac Pros or Urban Decay palettes. These shades though really blend well. I am pretty impressed with this palette in all honesty. The shadows stay on for long but with the help of a primer. On their own they lasted 3-4 hrs.

Now coming to the BROW ARTIST PLUMPER, i wouldn't lie i have been addicted to this tube of colored gel, this by far is my fav out of the 2 new LOREAL products. I always struggle with by my brows and this has sorted that for me. This brow gel is amazing. I have no idea if it really does 'plump up' my brows but i do agree that it covers my sparse brow area, fills them up well without any fuss. The gel does not leave my brows crunchy or hard, gives a nice natural look and feel. This did not flake on me atall.

The BROW ARTIST PLUMPER is available in 2 shades as far as i know which is quite abysmal but from the drugstore you cannot expect more. The shade i have is MEDIUM/DARK and its a perfect match for me. Its got the perfect amount of Brown and Grey in it to make the brows look natural and soft, do not expect anything drastic from this product because its not meant for that. This is a soft focus pigmented brow gel, which makes your brows look full thanks to the pigment & keeps them in place. I have already run out of my first tube and on my second one.
