Hello world...Todays review is going be a much requested one. I am going to talk about the relatively NEW Huda Beauty Lip Contour lip pencils. I got these a few weeks back and have worn them enough to know i love them. I have 4 shades in total and my liquid lipsticks are also on there way, will be doing a review on them fairly soon. But today lets talk about this new product and the craze of 'lip contouring' shall we...

So the packaging is pretty standard, its all matte black with bright shiny letters on the box and on the pencils themselves are packaged in matte black outer casing and have a nice feel to them. I have not had the need to sharpen them yet so i would not be able to say how well they sharpen or re-shape. These were launched in MAY this year and have been sold out in most Sephora's here, specially the trendy shades- browns & reds!

The shades i have are Trendsetter (matte brown nude), Video Star (bright pink red), Trophy Wife (dark rose wood) & CheerLeader (muted red). The shades i picked up are most bought and also cover a full color spectrum, i wanted to have a good feel about all the shades and these were the ones that appealed the most to me.

The pencils are very nicely built and feel nice in the hands. All in all to my knowledge there are 9 shades in total in this range. Since its launch Huda Beauty has also launched her Liquid Lipsticks in Sephora USA and i am assuming here too. The pencils are beautiful in formulation and pigment. My personal fav is TrendSetter and CheerLeader. Both these shades suit olive/yellow skintones stunningly. The other shades also suit my skintone well but my personal fav are these two. All the lip pencils faired well, they are buttery creamy and go on very easily. Has a nice slip to it, if you will.

The lip contour bit i do get because these are easy to use for shaping the lips and also for filling them. I always used MAC pro Lipliners as individual lip shades, so when a product like this comes along i am more than happy. These are not as drying as the MAC lipliners from the normal range, these are more comparable to the MAC Pro lipliners, formula wise. They do come off as more drying if your lips are not moisturized. These though claim to be full matte, waterproof and transfer proof- in my experience yes they are beautifully matte- creamy but matte on moisturized lips, waterproof- not tested that limit yet, transfer proof, yes, for the most part.

The pigmentation is outstanding and i can def see what the fuss is about. These lip liners are formulated without parabens and phthalates. They are also Vegan and Cruelty free. The range can expand though, shade wise. All the shades now are beautiful though. Worn on its own or under another lipstick these faired well. Yes there could have been more to them but for the most part these are pretty good addition to my growing collection. They do not settle in the lines on moisturized lips, on un-moisturized lips yes they do settle in my lines. They do not have any noticeable scent to them. For the price these are a fairly decent purchase. Def go and check them out and also the liquid lipsticks.
