Hey beautiful people! How was everybody's EID break, i am hoping excellent. Today i bring to you a NEW fav eyeshadow palette which is very very affordable and amazing but sadly as of now out of stock on MORPHE website. But i am sure it will be available soon. I will be talking about the SOUL OF SUMMER/12S eyeshadow palette. I ordered this palette a while back and have since loved almost everything about it. Lets start the review shall we..

So this palette first came in my sight when me and sarah were placing a 'Makeup Brush' order from Morphe, this popped up and we both bought it. This was my first experience with anything morphe. The brand i had heard off (mostly good reviews with some bad). This is an affordable brand so it def has a mass appeal and it was flooding my IG feed like crazy. So off i went and placed an order, i half expected the palette to arrive broken or something. But fortunately nothing happened. 

It arrived in one piece and so did all my brushes (which btw i will be reviewing tomm). I always and mostly gravitate towards shimmery shades and satin finishes, i have matte palettes too and some of them are my HG's but on the whole i am more of a shimmer girl and i love that lil'sparkle on the eyes! So this palette immediately appealed to me. At the time we had placed this ordered there weren't a lot of reviews about this palette but what the heck,we thought, for $14.99 (with some % off on the total order) it was a steal anyways. But i was surprised, this faired very well. This palette i would recommend for sure. 

Even thought the packaging is super-slim and may appeal to a lot of people for travelling purposes, for me personally the packaging was def a downside to this palette. I can def understand the brands point of view, the palettes are so cheap, they are def cost-cutting somewhere. But as a consumer i am a lil skeptical to travel with this. The packaging is flimsy plastic black casing. It does feel good in the hands in terms of its dimensions and weight but on the whole the packaging can be improved a bit more with some steadier packaging and maybe include a MIRROR!! This is the ONLY thing i think all palettes should have. In this day-n-age its almost a given to have a full size mirror in palettes, no matter the size. 

Coming to the actual 'product' now, there are 12 shadows in this palette and all have a soft cushion-y feel to them. They are all shimmer shades. They do feel like pressed pigments but they are not, atleast to my knowledge. They pat on beautifully and blend like a dream too. They work well with my MAC FIX+ aswell. This palette though way too affordable does pack on a punch, all shimmery summery shades.

The first row is dedicated to all the light shades which are great for that inner corner highlight or if you are fair skin'd then great as an all-over shimmer on the lids. These shades were a lil bit harder to touch as compared to the middle and bottom row. But having said that they blend beautifully and the result is outstanding. The top row has a mixture of rose gold, champagne gold, mid tone and warm gold shades. This palette has a lot of beautiful shades ranging from burgundy to taupe to copper to gold. Something for every shimmer loving beauty enthusiast out there. 

The middle row is where it gets exciting for me personally as this row has that bronzy shade (even though its a bit softer than most and flakes off a bit) which blends like a charm, it also has those khaki/olive green shades and that cool toned gun metal shade which is one of my personal favs. This row in general is mildly a bit more cool toned. All these shades too blend like a dream and are great for all over the lid shadow or as 'blender' shadows, at the outer corner and all. 

The bottom row is beautiful with its warm peachy shades and that mid tone burgundy. Which is great for mixing up with other shadows. The shadows perform great from this row aswell and wear well too. The shades are perfect for almost all skintones, perform well on there own and also on top of an eye primer. All the shadows are soft barring the top row (its a tad bit harder than the rest but nothing off putting), they all have just that right amount of shimmer/glimmer to reflect light & reflect light they do!! Stunning palette for an equally stunning price.

For the price MORPHE is doing an excellent job, no wonder its taken the beauty & blogging community by storm.
