GUERLAIN 'PETROUCHKA' PALETTE REVIEW & SWATCHES!

So this review has been pending for a long time now! This was +Guerlain Holiday Collection piece and i just knew i had to get it. Bought it, went on a holiday came back and forgot about it! Finally discovered it a month back again and started using it and since then i am loving it. The packaging is to die for. Read on..

This palette is called 'petrouchka' after the Opera character. And its a beauty! 5 shadows and 4 blushes packed in a beautiful luxurious compact. Travel friendly too. Its pricey and definitely nothing less then exotic. The shadows though you can definitely find a dupe for. The palette houses all new shades and was limited edition. Its a beautiful collectors palette. The palette also comes with a cute lil red sturdy elastic bracelet, you can use it as a hairband too.

Its a beautiful 'Neutral' palette, like we all need more of those! :D But its a winner if you want to splurge. I hate posting about things my readers can not access all year round, but this is a beautiful palette worth sharing, you can still buy it on ebay or amazon though. The shadows wore well for the entire day but i do suggest using a primer before as these are a lil hard to work with shadows. The pigmentation is amazing if i haven't mentioned already. The shades complement each other very well too.

It houses shades from gold to bronze. Comes with a beautiful blush brush & a sponge tip applicator which i find are useful unlike others. This one sticks & is much handy for those pat down applications. All the shadows do tend to have a frost finish, which i am not a fan of in general but i loved it in this palette. The only disappointing shade for me in this palette was the golden shade, i just wish it was more pigmented.

The blushes in this palette are perfect for spring time and are pigmented as hell. The texture is smooth & soft like a baby's bum. The colors are super bright. The lightest shade is beautiful for highlighting. The one i though i could use as a bronzer turned out to be more of a dusty rose and thats ok. But i do miss a bronzer in this palette.

From the swatches you can tell the pigmentations is amazing. The lightest shade is too light for my tanned self, the other shades though are well suited for every skintone in my opinion. They wore well for the entire day and were not patchy atall. The size & placement of the blushes though was a lil annoying as 2 are very small for my regular blush brush.

I love this palette though without any hesitation & it continues to be a fav of mine. I love collectors edition palettes by brands. Do you guys?
