NEW DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS REVIEW! FT. RIMMEL LONDON.

Hello lovelies! Another drugstore review coming your way and this one is about not 1 but 2 NEW FOUNDATIONS from RIMMEL LONDON. These 2 foundations are new on the market and are very affordable. They are good or not is what this post is all about. These 2 foundations cater to 2 different skintypes. Read on to know more about them.

So the first foundation is LASTING FINISH NUDE from Rimmel London which is the new version of the already existing Lasting Finish foundation. This is supposed to be the lighter version of the existing foundation. It does have comfort serum and an SPF20 which is great for dubai weather. This foundation does feel lighter than the earlier version and does an incredible job. Has a dewy finish and a light-medium coverage. It also has a easy wear with long staying power. Does feel a lil tacky but hydrating on the skin nontheless. It contains Vit E too so it does have some skin benefits. It gives a decent amount of wear without powdering down but with the powder it does last me a long time, i would like to say the whole day. The shade i got is way too light for me but for the purpose of this review i wore it, i did end up looking like a ghost but bronzed up like nobody's business. But anyways coming back to the foundation, its a good lightweight wear. This is thicker in consistency than the bourjois healthy mix though, just an fyi. Good for Normal-Combi skintypes, a def no-no for Oily skintypes in my opinion. It also does have the standard Rimmel foundation scent, floral-sweet. This has a 'foundation' finish to it though, so anybody aiming to achieve a light-medium coverage with 1 drop is in for disappointment. However having said that it layers well but it does show evidently that one is wearing a foundation. Blends really well. This range has 5-8 shades in it. This foundation range has more pink/red undertone in their shades than the Wake Me Up foundation.

The second foundation in this review is the WAKE ME UP foundation from this brand. I have to tell you i was really excited for this launch and was super duper excited when this landed on my beauty desk. This foundation is the newer launch from Rimmel London. It does have a concealer too from this range, which i am personally dying to try. This foundation does seem to have some shimmer in it which is visible in the bottle, i was scared, not gonna lie. But when swatched/applied the shimmer does not translate. This is much lighter in consistency than the Lasting Finish Nude foundation. Which is something i personally preferred. Has a light-medium coverage but can be build up without looking cakey or the 'wearing foundation' result. Has the exact same scent like the lasting finish nude foundation. Really got absorbed fast into the skin. Has a demi-matte finish, which is great for normal-combi skintypes but works well for oily skintypes too. The wear time on this is pretty good. The shimmer in the foundation can be caught in some artificial lighting but not always. If something bothers me about this foundation is just the fact that it has shimmer in it. Blends like a dream too. It has Skin brightening Vit C in it so again skin benefits in a foundation. This also has an SPF15. This range has 6 shades in total. I personally prefer this to the Lasting Finish Nude foundation as this runs more on the yellow side and also has a much more lightwear feel to it.

PRICE: AED55 (lasting finish nude) & AED59 (wake me up).

QUANTITY: Both 30ml.

AVAILABILITY: Lifestyle, Max, Boots pharmacies & Carrefore.

Hope this review was helpful and informative. These foundations are great for everyday wear and specially these are easy on the pocket. The shade range is not the best but hey something's gotta give! Until my next post.
