Hello lovelies! So today's review is about a NEW scent from HUGO BOSS which is a treat for the man in your life! I along with a select few bloggers had the pleasure of meeting the man behind this scent and know how it was developed & the idea behind the same. So today in this post i will be reviewing this scent for you guys. Its really a treat for the MIDDLE EASTERN noses. So without further ado lets get on with the review.
So the man behind this perfume is Lewis Peacock. He is the nose behind this extremely addictive and fascinating scent from HG. This is the first of its kind by this brand as with this scent HG is trying to blend cultures together, the normal zingy & masculine man meets the arabic oud loving man. OUD is big in arabic culture, everybody loves it and after staying here for this long i kind of see the fascination. Trust me it was not love at first sight with this unique scent, its more of an acquired taste, like i have always said. Oud is a interesting and fascinating ingredient, and is really hard to not notice. This fragrance was launched in July. My husband likes it and so do i, because i often layer my feminine fragrance's on oud based scents. Btw this scent is LIMITED edition.
The scent opens up on a citrus note and sits on a lot of spicy aromas, now spicy in the sense of herby not spicy in the literal sense. After all the citrus and spicy aromas settle you get the bang of musk & oud. And thats what makes this perfume more universal then the normal Arabic 'oud' scents. This is adapted to the middle eastern culture, in doing so HG has kept its crisp european heart intact. Thats the reason i think a lot of men out there are going to enjoy this new offering. This bottle is the celebration of men in the most luxurious & masculine way possible. Because of 100% OUD this can be a little intense, so go slow. Its a full bodied scent so a whiff alone will get you the full experience. Sillage is very strong and so is the staying power. Makes for a perfect gift for your man too!
Lets just take a moment and appreciate the bottle design as well. Its such a beauty to look at and so luxurious. The deep woody brown glass bottle with the embossing and gold accents is pure extravagance!

We were in for a surprise as along with this delectable bottled OUD we had the chance to experience another fragrance from this brand called MA VIE which is a beautiful full bodied Rose scent and is perfect to accompany any man wearing the bottled oud. Ma Vie is a scent for the ladies and is right on trend because as of now and the past few months the world seems to be obsessed with everything ROSE! Such a beautiful bottle and scent seriously. Since having this i have bought another bottle because i am that obsessed with this scent.
