APRIL'15 STAPLES!

Its time for APRIL STAPLES! Gosh how a month has gone by, I feel i had just done a blogpost of my march staples a few days back... Anyways getting onto the things i loved this month or gravitated most towards. Some are new additions and some are old like always. Read on for the whole LIST..:D

For the eyes and face i gravitated towards 2 new things and 1 old. One of the new thing is the Sephora Pantone Color'15 palette in MARSALA. This was a gift from my husband and i freaking love it. Everything about this palette is hands on except maybe the size of the individual pans. The palette somehow reminds me of the 'water color' craft kit that i used to buy as a kid for school projects & art classes. Very plastic-y and small. This palette compared to last years 'orchid' palette is way smaller. The rose gold top is stellar though. The shadows are amazing & pigmented, i use them wet/ dry, blend like a charm. There is a lot of variety in this palette which is something i love, and its predominantly warm-toned. Has a full size mirror which makes it a good travel companion. The second thing i have loved using is the Soap & Glory Solar Powder, i know its a bit on the orangey side but one me its not as much, i mostly like using this product to 'warm up' my face. It works beautifully and it delivers. Stays put for a long time too. Gives the face an overall warmth. The old thing in this pic is my Stila Cream Blush in the shade Gladiola which i got on my last trip to India. Its a beautiful orange shade which can be sheered out or built up according to ones preference. As the SS time is here to stay for a long time, i switched to this blush as its a nice summery shade & at the same time its so beautifully pigmented. I love applying & blending this with a small MAC130 stippling brush.

On my face i have been trying out and loving some new things too. First is the MUFE Step1 Primer i use the smoothening one which gives such a pretty & even canvas for my foundation. Makes me matte but not 'drying matte' as my Benefit porefessional. Its a good one to try if you have had your fill of the benefit one. The texture is silicon-y and the color reminds me of the porefessional but its the result which steals the show and makes this one a winner for me. One of my best buys of last month. The second product in this is the new REVLON Photoready Airbrush effect foundation which was sent to me last month and i have loved using it ever since, the color is a bit off, so i have been mixing a lil of my MAC NC30 foundation, for review purposes though i did wear it on its own the first few times. The foundation is creamy smooth and goes on well with a semi-matte finish. Stays put a long time with having to touch up.There is something different about this foundation, to find out what please do check out my review in coming weeks, will do a full detailed review then. On my eyes its ANASTASIA Beverly Hills BROWHIZ all the way. I have used it for years & loved it this whole time. The color i use is brunette and its a pretty good match for me. I know a lot of bloggers/vloggers have reviewed it already and everybody's understanding of it is spot-on.

The LAURA Mercier High Coverage concealer has been a fav of mine this past month. Its a little difficult to work given the consistency but at the same time it really does what it says- HIGH COVERAGE! A lil tap of this on your problem areas is enough, this thing stays put. Does not need powdering on spot-concealing but for undereyes i do mix it up with my foundation/another liquid concealer, just to warm this bby up a lil, i always go in with powder later on. For this 'mixing' purpose and highlighting under my eyes i have fallen in love with the MAYBELLINE FITME concealer, its so bloody good. All the hype around this product is so true. I use the color 20 or 120 and its a good match for me, coming from the drugstore i am highly impressed and would def repurchase. Its packaged just like the NARS radiant creamy concealer, very handy for travelling and touch ups on the go. For my lips i have been loving some gloss and its all thanks to the NEW BOURJOIS aqua laques the one shade i particularly like is 03. Its a very nice muted reddish/mauve shade. Nothing great on the staying power but it does feel good on the lips. Not sticky atall. Pigmented as hell.

This is a new addition to my 'Monthly Staples' Blogpost. From this month on i will mention the various skin & hair products i have been trying/loving. This past month i went back to my fav hand cream of all time the SOAP&GLORY hand food its the best non greasy and heavenly scented cream out in the market! This is my 5/6th tube and i do not see myself not using it anytime soon. The SHISEIDO ULTIMUNE serum concentrate has become another fav. Its expensive yes but it delivers. I will be reviewing this product soon on my blog. Its a good serum to have if you have stressed out skin which lacks luster & life from the day to day damage. This serum is a good pick me up for my face. Has improved the texture immensely too. Its lightweight & non greasy. Gets absorbed super fact so great for layering on other products. The last skincare product in this list is the HUMAN+KIND wash of cleanser which is OMG amazing. Its such a beautiful cleanser which takes off my makeup effectively without stinging and slowly exfoliates my skin too. Comes with a nice 'deep cleansing cloth' which adds to the exfoliating effect. Will be posting a review of this too. The last thing if a hair bit which is a must have for me this SS time and it addes volume without making my hair brittle & crunchy its the PERCY&REED Volumising mousse. This is also great for root touch ups because its great for styling and being alternative to a dry-shampoo.

So there you have it everybody my 'small' list of APRIL STAPLES! Anything you guys liked or would want me to review, do comment below. Until next month.
