Today i am coming to you with a new review of the MARC JACOBS #INSTAMARC Bronzing & Highlighting duo palette which was launch around the end of june here in dubai. I got it soon afterwards and have been using it continuously since. This bronzer/highlighter duo comes in 3 shades and is amazing! So lets get to know this product a bit more shall we...
The one i picked up is 40/MIRAGE FILTER and it has the most obvious
contouring/highlighting shades in it. It consists of a light bronze & light golden highlight. Both shades as far as i can tell are full matte and are beautiful. The texture of these powders is super-super soft, so although i was a lil disappointed when a lot of excess-powder kicked up while using it, i understood later on that its because of the fact that these powders are so finely milled! The powders are soft and blend like a dream. A special 'SHAPE' brush was launched alongside it and i would have picked it up if only it was in stock, the brush is really nice though, i will pick it up soon. Dubai loves its luxury makeup, i tell'ya!! This compact comes in 3 shades as i mentioned earlier - 40/Mirage ( Light Bronzer with Light Golden), 20/Dream Filter ( Soft Pink with Medium Bronze) & 60/Hi Fi Filter ( Warm Peach with Deep Bronze).
This product does not have any scent so yay for that. Also i love love the fact that MJ is very generous with their product quantities, like i know $49 dollars is a lot of money but once you have a look at the luxe packaging and the full size mirror along with the obvious fact that the product it houses is enough to last you for almost 4-5 months (without any heavy conturing!) its def a good investment. Who wouldn't enjoy wiping out a MJ palette when they are out 'n' about! I mean its really commendable of a luxury brand to deliver-on for what they are charging. I am really impressed with this whole brand in general and this product. I in no way am being sponsored or paid by MJ *but wldn't i love too, a girl can only dream* :D
So coming back to the product as you can see the Light Bronze shade is grey enough for it to work as a 'contouring' shade on light-medium skintone girls and bronzy enough to work as an all over bronzer, thats what i love the most about this product. Its versatile. The product gets picked up easily and really blends nicely. The Light Golden shade or in my eyes the 'Banana Powder' shade is great for setting the under eyes with and also as a highlighter for all the high points of the face. The fact that both the powders are full-on matte products really makes them useful for beginners and professional makeup artist. The product goes on well and stays put for a long time. The matte-ness of this products makes it a good base too for layering when one is going for an airbrushed look.

Really do give this palette a try if you are on the look out for an everyday essential contouring/ highlighting palette which has a big ass mirror & is safe to travel with. A Luxurious way to Sculpt, Define & Highlight ones face. Marc Jacobs has done it again. I cannot wait for their fall releases which has a coconut water primer! Until my next post.
