NEW COLLECTION FROM ISADORA 'BEACH CLUB'- REVIEW!

Hello lovlies! So its time for another review and this one comes from a Swedish brand which is relatively new in UAE called IsaDora. This brand is available in a lot of stores and is on the higher end in price point, its at-par with loreal pricing if you want to compare. The products though are outstanding. Today i will be reviewing the BEACH CLUB COLLECTION from this brand which landed on my desk 1 week back, yes thats how much i enjoyed using this collection, that i am ready to dish out a review! The nailpaint though is not my style, it screams 90's and i have happily left mine behind. So without further ado lets get on with the review shall we..

Let talk about the elephant of this collection the EYESHADOW PALETTE which is a miniature quite subtle palette for those on-the-brink rebels out there. This palette screams festival and would be a great wear if i was actually going to one! Anyhow the shadows are all pigmented except for the lighter shades. There is a lovely subtle bronzy shade in there with a bright yellow gold. The only think lacking from this palette is a good black, that would have completed this palette for me personally. Also with the matte shadows one has to be careful because they are super soft, so a lot of excess is kicked up. The shades though look daunting come out quite sheer on the lids, one really has to pile them on if you want a intense colourful look. But who does, like for me personally this worked out. It was colorful but a subtle color, not a in-your-face bang on color.

The shadows blended well surprisingly but were a bit chalky, guess thats because this palette has TALC in the shadows. I did one eye without a primer and the other with one, the side with the primer def fared better. So one has to go in with a primer for sure in my opinion with these shadows. Also be ready to build the colors up, because the shadows are so soft they do take a while to latch onto the primer and create a wash of color. Apart from that this palette is def something to look into if you want something colorful yet wearable.

The Perfect Moisturising lipstick is another product which i enjoyed from this collection. It has a satin finish and has medium opaqueness, like one has to build it up if you want a full pop of color on your lips, The matte formula from this range along with the matte lipsticks are fantastic. This one went on smooth though and had a nice feel to it. Did not tug atall and also stayed put for a long time for a satin finish lipstick, surprisingly. There are 3 shades in this collection and the one i have is a nice mid-tone coral-pink shade, which is perfect for this season, its a bright shade without trying too hard. Good wear and feel. Def something to check out from this range again. There was a need for reapplication though after about 4-5 hrs.

Coming back to the Nailpaint, the nailpaint formula was something i did not get on with. The color is a pearlescent neon pink, which is beautiful and sounds beautiful too, but when applied, first it takes atleast 3 coats for it to become as opaque as the bottle color, and the second bit is it just clumps up, i think i might have a faulty piece, but i just could not make this work on me. This shade of neon-pink will def make one look more dark than they actually are ( so if you wanna enhance your tan this is the shade for you). There are 3 more shades in this rage which i want to try out for myself, specially the pastel purple shade looks amazing. Dries super fast though, so the formula on that front is a go-go for me. It just doesn't make sense, as i have tried isadora nailpaints before and they have been pretty good. So i have to think that this product is defective/faulty in my case.

Last but not the least the mascara from this range is def the star for me. Its got a hard plastic wand which i liked and small latchy bristles which made coating & layering of the mascara really fuse-free. The formula of the mascara is somewhere in the middle, not too wet yet not too dry which is perfect for this hot-humid weather of Dubai. Layers beautifully, lengthens and separates. Did not flake on me atall and stays put. By no means this is a waterproof mascara because it comes of really easily but for a 'no makeup if i could have it girl' i actually like that about mascaras in general. Held my curl well, but towards the end of the day i could see that the effect had worn off. It has a very strong 'typical cosmetic mascara' smell though. Something like the Maybelline Falsies.

PRICE: Palette AED120 , Lipstick AED92 , Nailpaint AED57 & Mascara AED131.

QUANTITY: Palette 5gms , Nailpaint 6ml , Mascara 9ml & Lipstick 4.5gms.

AVAILABILITY: Paris Gallery, Debenhams, Boots & Lifestyle.

All in all a good and decent collection from IsaDora. The must haves for me have to be the lipstick (for color & texture) & the mascara (performance), somewhere i think the palette is good too but def not something that you have to go and buy, its a good addition to ones collection though. The nailpaint is a complete no-no for me. Have a look at this collection and if you have already do comment below and tell me your thoughts.
