GLAMBOX JAN'15 REVIEW & UPDATE!

Hey ladies so the January +GlamBox Middle East is here and again its so-so. I do not know what the idea behind these boxes is or what has gone wrong with the glambox team but in my opinion, for me personally i am not that happy. That's 2 month's in a row...here's hoping the February 'VALENTINES MONTH' box would be better and lovely.
So lets get to know a bit more about the Jan products.

So this month's glambox came packed with 1 full size product and 2 deluxe size samples with 2 'normal' samples! :D. The products are basically aimed for body & hair. With vouchers for a Blow-Dry, Manicure from +NStyle Nail Lounge and Discount vouchers from TheHotBox Kit and DESIGNER-24. There is a voucher for Bath and Body works also, which again i am very happy with. In general i love +Bath and Body Works .

The first thing that caught my eye was the full size bottle of the +Bath and Body Works limited edition for holidays 'a thousand wishes' body mist. Its not a scent i would have gone for myself because its too sweet and candy-esque. But when i tried this one with an open mind and wore it for a day i was super surprised of the stay power and the scent in general, because after the intial bolt of scent it sets down to a mild sweet-tropical scent.

A perfect way to start looking forward to spring (or summer if you live in dubai). I would still classify this scent as heavy as compared to the other scents i own and like. Retails at 35AED/88ml.

The second product in this box is one i have used for ages, as most of you guys. This one kind of brings back memories, its a very simple yet essential body butter (lotion) by Plamer's. This one is the standard Cocoa and Vitamin E body lotion, extremely essential in winters and otherwise also for people with dry body skin. Gets absorbed quickly into the skin sans the greasiness. Without a doubt i would recommend this to everybody, its that good.
The one in this box is a deluxe sample size. Retails at 22AED/250ml.

This is a new brand for me, i had never heard of this one but what it claims on the label has got me intrigued. Its a Bio-Cleansing shampoo which gently cleanses the scalp while removing sebum and DHT from scalp. This shampoo contains nutrients which nourish, moisturise and improve the hair & scalp condition, creating a healthy environment for hair growth and restoration.

The claims are very big and i am yet to try this product, in Dubai i think its safe to say almost every expat suffers hair-loss, so if this shampoo works its going to become my staple. Its a deluxe samples size, so its good for 2-3 uses, but again i do not know how i would gauge the so may results (moisturise, nourish, hair growth and etc) from this tiny samples. Retails for 90AED/360ml.

Another product which is hair-related is from BIOSILK, again this is a deluxe sample size. This one is called SILK INFUSION, its basically a leave-in replenishing & reconstructing treatment thats supposed to help repair, smooth and protect all hair types. It also protects against thermal styling & shields hair from environmental damage.

This one kind of reminds me of a generic Hair-smoothner serum from John Frieda i love and use. i haven't seen any difference in the texture of my hair yet but my hair does look and feel smoother & silkier. Retails at 195AED for a full size.

The last sample is from +Herbline Essentials and its sunscreen with SPF 40 (pretty good keeping in mind Dubai weather and sun exposure). It is parabens and paraffin free. I have tried Herbline Essential products and i have to say i like them as a brand in general. Great products for the price they retail at and easy availability. Totally recommend this to anybody wanting to try a new sunscreen.

This month's GLAMBOX is again so-so with a lil ray of sunshine here and there. I do absolutely love some products in here and not so much others so. Did you receive your's yet?Have you subscribed to GLAMBOX yet, what are your thoughts?
