I am sooo happy with this launch, i have become obsessed! These beauties are from drugstore, so affordable & pretty. Bourjois recently launched a whole NEW range of Rouge Edition called 'AQUA LAQUES', a parallel to their Rouge Edition Velvet Mattes range. As you all know by now i am a matte lip gal...can't work glosses to save ma'life, so when i got the opportunity to go and see this new 'lighter than air & feels like water' product in action i was intrigued.
The event was so beautiful, the whole decor was in red & pink. A lil 'guessing' game was the key to unlock the new products, 4 questions each pertaining to the way the product is and feels. FUN! Extremely helpful & knowledgeable MUA's were present to do on-the-spot makeovers using the new products along with some delectable & scrumptious tidbit's.
Coming onto the product in question, these new lip laques are a must try even if you are like me and don't like glosses or that sticky feel on the lips. These are somewhere in the middle, when first applied they go on so smoothly i can't stress that enough. The second they are there on the lips, it feels like you have just applied 'water' on your lips! They feel extremely liquid & cool like water. There is no sticky sensation atall. They fill in the lips beautifully and do not accentuate the uneven cracked surface (if you suffer from dry chapped lips that is!).
Bourjois released 8 new shades in this range. I got to try 3 from that, the ones i have are 02,03 & 07. I have one shade from each color family. All 8 new shades are in the same color spectrum but are different in some or the other way. The shades range from light baby pink to nudish mauve/pink to brights. So something for everybody. The shades i got are really wearable and perfect for spring time.
02/Rose on the Rocks - a nudy pinkish/mauve shade. Its such a pretty everyday color. Thats the amazing thing with these products, even the lighter shades are pigmented as hell and do not streak. It went on smoothly, 2 swipe were enough to get the desired color on my lips. Stayed on for quite a decent amount of time. It did start fading, by the end of the day i had eaten the whole thing up and there was a nice faint tint on my lips. Which is better than having a uneven outline on my lips.
03/Brun'Croyable - this is my favourite shade out of the lot that i have. Its a burnt red and looks amazing on pigmented lips like mine and even otherwise but i am just saying :D. My lips are not the usual pink shade they are naturally a lil darker so every lip product looks different on me *learnt that the hard way*!! So this also went on smoothly and stayed put longer than the lighter shade, left behind a beautiful stain (my lips but better kinda).
07/Fuchsia Perché - this is the rebel of the lot. Its a bright pink which looks amazing when worn with a neutral makeup. It has more of red in it than pink, atleast on me it comes of more bright-red. This is a pretty shade for the spring time without having to go through the trouble of 'precise application' of a bright shade. All these lip laques are sans glitter but have a beautiful sheen which looks amazing and somehow makes your lips poutier. Who doesn't want that 'a la Kylie Jenner'! ;D

Amazing new additions to the existing range and a must have for this season. Also if you want to try something different than the usual 'matte' lipstick/creams without having to deal with the stickiness then these are you best bet.
