Hello lovelies & CHANEL OBSESSED people of the world! So as many of you would know by now i am a bblogger (duh! ;D) so wherever i go i always end up picking up some beauty bits, these 2 Chanel products were bought on my travels to India *duty free* purchases if you will! I am so ecstatic tho have Les Beiges in my life its my go to touch-up power everyday. Without dragging this one lets get to the review shall we..
So Les Beiges being limited edition earlier was make into a permanent line sometime and i couldn't be happier. I always wanted this compact along with the Healthy Glow CC Cream, those 2 really make the perfect everyday no-fuss base for ones makeup. Anywho, so the CC Cream was not in stock, i ended up buying this compact which is not a foundations its more for mattifying ones face, for people with flawless skin this CAN def be a FOUNDATION COMPACT though. The one i have here is in shade N'30 which is a perfect match for my skintone.
The Les Beiges Healthy Glow Powder is a sheer foundation powder which is best used on top of other foundations/bases or the CC cream from this range. Its such a finely milled powder, just amazing, thats the reason i dnt swatch it here because my camera wasn't able to pick it up. The powder is super soft and creamy. Blends like a dream, i use it mostly with the Chanel brush it comes along but one days its outside my bag i use it with my Sephora Pro Powder brush, these 2 are match made in heaven. I would love the Chanel Retractable kabuki Brush though with this compact as that brush is meant to go along with this powder but its soo stinking expensive. Anyways the powder keeps my skin matte for almost the whole day and has the classic iconic CHANEL packaging which every girls loves & desires. The shade range in the Les Bieges is not that impressive though, just 7, the shades do run much darker though. It seriously is a very versatile products, it works on its own and on top of other bases really well. Does not have any distinct scent to it. Comes in a nice velvet pouch.
The Fresh Effect Eyshadow Stick in Caroube/147 was part of the limited edition Collection Mediterranée which was launched in august and was not that impressive from my stand point. Just picked up this one pencil from that collection as it really stood out to me, its a bronzy shade with a bit of gold it. Gives it that 'old gold' look. It has a bit of taupe too in it which makes a very unique 'neutral' shade & universal. The texture is creamy and smooth. Literally glides on the lids. The formulation is supp to be creasy free & vibrant but for me personally i had to apply my primer first as i have oily lids. The shadow maintained its vibrancy & crease-freeness throughout the day. The most amazing thing is as soon as the product touched the skin it has a very mild but effective 'cooling effect' which makes this a must have for those 'morning afters'!! I am so impressed by this formulation. A must have from my end. They have other amazing shades and some pops of colors too. The shade blends well and is not chunky atall. Again very versatile as one can def wear it on its own or over some other shadow/blended in with other shadows too. It does have a nice but somewhat strong Chanel perfume scent which can be a deal breaker but i do not mind it atall as it fades away really quickly.
