Hello my beautiful readers! So another review coming up your way. Today's review was highly requested and anticipated as its a NEW FOUNDATION by the favourite makeup artist brand Makeup Forever, its their Ultra HD foundation which claims to deliver 4k flawless skin everytime one uses it. So after almost a month of trying this bby out i am ready to dish out! Lets get on with the review shall we...
This foundation is aimed towards 'industry' use but for everyday gal its pretty cool too. The foundation offers almost matte finish but with a luminosity which is very natural and does not look greasy atall. It held up really well too almost 7 hrs for me personally. Which was really amazing, given the hot n humid climate of dubai. This is the 'real deal' when it comes to a medium-full coverage light wear foundation. I have not tried the original HD foundation so i cannot compare but from what i can tell the new one is more 'oily' skin friendly. Having said all this this foundation is really light and almost invisible on the skin but the pigment is amazing, its covers up really well on the first application but its a beauty to build up too, which i think will be necessary with this foundation. Its just me but i am always reminded of my NARS All Day Luminous foundation whenever i use this foundation, its the same texture and feel. Its water based so that explains a lot. Which nowadays a lot of foundations are, which is really good for sensitive & oily skintypes in my knowledge.
The fact that it is so liquid and almost invisible, it sets really quickly & gives a very even all over coverage to the skin. It def needs building up in areas of concern, for me personally over my dark hyper pigmentation marks. But like i said it builds up beautifully without the cakeyness or patchyness. In my opinion its a 'all skintypes' kinda foundation. Its got a very velvety feel to it. Its feels like a silicony texture but it doesn't have any silicon in it. It also has hyaluronic acid to plum up dehydrated skin and fine lines. So women of a particular age can also use this foundation without fear! The bottle design is the same as the original HD foundation except the Silver band around the neck of the of the bottle with the new foundation, has a good pump and a sturdy bottle, so great for travelling too.
From around 40 shades (in liquid foundation) we had to pick ours and it was so diff, seriously it took me a week to find my almost perfect shade. The stick foundation comes in 15 shades and is really nice too. I swatched it after a blogger friend of mine suggested i 'have too' so off i went the next day to Sephora and tried it out. Its seriously amazing, i am really thinking of buying it. The liquid foundation is FLAWLESS thats just the word that comes to mind everytime i use this foundation, it really lived upto its hype which i am really stoked about. From the earlier shade selection to this new formulation the shades are divided into 4 categories : Light, Medium, Tan & Dark with Yellow & Red undertones in all. So trying it in stores is your best bet.
