Hello beautiful people! So this post is super duper exciting for me, i get to share with you an amazing news and also a few (ok a lot) clicks! So last month i had the opportunity to be a part of an amazing revolution #STYLEHASNOSIZE and there was also a fun photoshoot with some lovely & fun bloggers from UAE. All this was orchestrated by the EVANS Middle East team and what a fantastic job done by them. We all had so much fun, making all weird faces and poses just being COMFORTABLE IN OUR SKIN! It was truly freeing. So without further ado lets get on with the review/update..
So this event being all serious and revolutionary was a lot of FUN too! The whole point of this event was to bring light to a very mundane but very IMPORTANT issue of SIZE, its a issue which has plagued our Fashion Industry for long now and continues to do so. Size is not an issue, yes it should not and we all should try for it to not be at the risk of our health. That being said there is no reason for you to not love yourself and be fashionable even when you are a size16 or +!
I was so excited and ecstatic to be part of something which is so important and specially so vital for everyones happiness. In this day and age where everything is photoshopped or edited; sometimes both, its amazing that a brand is telling us to be 'comfortable in our own skin', show ourselves the same love and respect that we show towards the magazine/fashion models. We are not less, no matter your skin color, your size or your height.
Anybody who knows me knows i am a person who is very comfortable, accepting & loving of herself, please do not confuse that with over-confidence or ignorance. I know i am built a certain way partially because of my genes and partially because of my lifestlye. All being said and done its so refreshing to hear a brand tell you that #STYLEHASNOSIZE, a unique initiative by a brand in the UAE where glitz and glam are a part of our daily life and meeting media & attending fashion events is so 'regular'.
This event was just not a fashion event but an eye-opener for people to see fashion in a different light and see the word 'model' with a different perspective.
